Soul Slayers Guild Policy

Welcome! This information is primarily for the new members who have recently been invited to Soul Slayers. You will be promoted to the rank ‘Slayer' after we are certain you are a good fit. I hope that to you, joining the Soul Slayers guild means more dungeons, more PvPing, and someday more raiding. We want this to be an active guild filled with loyal members who will stay with us for the long run.

Recruit Status
New invitees to Soul Slayers will be under ‘Recruit’ status for no longer than one month. This is considered a trial period. This trial period is necessary for us to determine if you are a fit within the Soul Slayers guild. The time it takes to be promoted from a ‘Recruit’ to a Soul Slayers ‘Member’ depends on but not limited to the recruits:

Availability to group with other members. This means a recruit should show a little initiative to group with guild members, whether it is for a dungeon, helping others with a quest, PvP group, or even just making friends and exploring lands. We want to see that you are getting involved with the guild and fitting in nicely. Note that participation in everything is not required – but participation in something is.

Registering and posting on the guild forums. Registering on the guild website is mandatory for all members. The website is the central meeting place for members when they are not in the game. It is important that you check it often because some things are website exclusive and can ONLY be found on the website. Some examples of website only items are the guild calendar, announcements, guild policies and recommended add-ons. Being a member of the guild means that you have read the guild policies and comply with them.

The duration of ‘Recruit’ status could be as short as a week or two, but will not be longer than a month. If the ‘Recruit’ has been so unavailable for an entire month that we have been unable to evaluate him or her, then it is clear that they are not a fit for Soul Slayers and will be removed from the guild.

Guild Help
Recruits please get registered on the website as soon as possible. If you need help with a quest, dungeon, etc. than feel free to ask in the guild chat and most likely someone will be happy to help you. In the case that you have asked for help a couple of times yet members were too busy at the moment than the best way to receive help would be to declare your needs in a thread on the forums. This will allow us to plan for the event and will be taken care of at our earliest convenience. Also keep in mind the following tips (also located in our code of conduct):

• When you ask for help, BE READY for the help right then and there! Don't ask for help and not be ready for 45 minutes while you finish something else. This is extremely rude and will get you less or no help later.

BE PREPARED. If you want help with a dungeon, be ready to run the dungeon. If you want something crafted, have the mats ready. If it's quests that you need help with then be sure u know which ones u need help with before hand and mention them in the beginning.

• Please REALIZE that just because we have 70's doesn't mean we're rich! We have MANY costs and wants too. We are not here just to give you our money and time. If we're busy running our own quests, dungeons, dailies, don't whine, beg and get upset if we say no. We want to play the game too!

Be Grateful. Be sure to say thank you to any members who help you. We have had members in the past who after a full dungeon run or had an item crafted for them, just went offline. Didn’t say thank you. Didn’t tell us bye. Just left. This is extremely rude and will not be tolerated. Thanking members who helped you is a good way to receive more help in the future.

Once a member of Soul Slayers, your actions no longer reflect solely upon you. Your actions reflect on each member of the guild. People will formulate opinions based upon your actions. Keep this in mind with everything you do. If you are in doubt, ask yourself, “would I want my guild to be seen this way?” The most powerful form of communication is actions and example.

Leaving the Guild
If anyone wishes to leave the guild please talk to one of the guild leaders first, or a guild member that you feel comfortable speaking with, so that we have a chance to fix the problem.

Soul Slayers is not a hotel, if you leave on your own will, you aren't coming back. Unless we really really love you.

I would also like to add that when you register on the forums, please use your main character's name so we know who to match entries with. Using names that aren't registered in the guild will most likely get you kicked off the forums.

Also, when you register, please at least make an entry under "Introduce Yourself". This will give everyone an idea of who you are, where you come from and possibly what you expect out of this guild.

Thanks again for joining Soul Slayers. See you online!
